Fernanda Silva - The Blind Masseuse

In October 2014, Fernanda received her Licensed Massage Therapist certification after successfully completing training at Cortiva Massage Institute in Watertown, MA.

In April 2008, Fernanda was a high school student studying graphic design when she learned that she had retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative eye disease. Four months later she was fully blind. Naturally, her pursuits have since been oriented towards sound and touch such as learning to play keyboard and, of course, completing her massage therapy certification.

Fernanda feels strongly that communication is key to a successful massage and listens carefully to every client during the course of a treatment. Many of her clients appreciate the special attention she pays to problem areas.

Fernanda's particular areas of expertise include myofascial, hot stone, Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
